Wrist Pulling

Only the qualified top 2 from each region will participate

  1. Initial Setup & Positioning
  • Both opponents sit facing each other, positioning one leg over the other’s legs, ensuring that knees are touching.
  • The left leg must be placed under the opponent’s right leg, and knees must remain in contact.
  • There are two additional participants ("leg holders") who insert their legs between both players’ legs to prevent movement. They must hold each other’s ankles to ensure that both the players and themselves remain in the original position.

  1. Grip Formation
  • The play begins when Person A grips Person B’s left arm.
  • Both hands must be used for gripping: the left hand must be placed on top, and the right hand must be positioned below the left hand for support.
  • Hands must be positioned in the center before the match begins. They can only be moved after the start.

  1. The Struggle & Release Attempt
  • Person B must use tactics and strength to free their arm.
  • The wrist must be pulled free in a single attempt. No additional force can be applied after the first try.
  • The opponent’s wrist may not be twisted (choori).
  • The "Cheera" technique is allowed, but the thumb must not be inserted inside the grip.
  • The person attempting to break free cannot lie backward.

  1. Deciding the Winner
  • The game is played in three rounds maximum.
  • A player who wins two rounds is declared the winner of the match.
  • If a player wins two straight rounds, the third round is not needed.
  • If there is a tie, such as after three rounds, a coin toss will decide who wins.
